Experienced leadership and brokerage in the multi housing real estate industry, with specialized expertise focused on manufactured housing communities.
Christopher Nortley, Founder and Managing Partner of MHRE, specializes in Manufactured Housing Communities (MHC’s) and Recreational Vehicle Communities(RVC’s) throughout the United States and Canada. With over 26 years of brokerage experience his real estate knowledge in marketing platforms, negotiation strategies, escrow management and close of escrow is insurmountable to his competitors.
In 2016 Christopher was ranked as the #1 broker in the United States with over $330,000,000 in MHRV transactions.
Prior to MHRE, Christopher was a founding partner of Sunstone Manufactured Housing Consultants, established in April 2010, of which he was responsible for closing over 71% of Sunstone’s production before departing.
Preceding Sunstone, Christopher worked at CBRE where he was a founding member of the Manufactured Housing Group. During his tenure in the company’s niche service offering, he was responsible for over 76% of the group’s production.
Further to his brokerage expertise, Christopher has an extensive land background, selling over 7,000 acres of land throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Tennessee. His collective 14-year knowledge in raw land is exceedingly beneficial to clients who regard existing MHC investments with a forward-looking approach in speculation of a change of use on land value. This concept would supersede the cash flow value of the asset bringing greater returns.
Christopher’s flawless closing record and uncandid ability to think “outside the box” has resulted in his clientele’s assurance of his proven ability to perform. His clients comprise of REITS, institutional operators, private equity firms, hedge funds, syndicators, mom & pop operators, banks and special servicers.

Thao Nguyen joins us from CBRE as the new Managing Director for MHRE’s Texas and South Central region.
Thao brings previous brokerage experience from CBRE, where she was involved in the closing of several MH and RV transactions, including communities in Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin. She worked in CBRE’s San Francisco office before relocating back to Texas and was the MHRV valuations specialist where she appraised multiple communities throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona and Oregon. Her coverage of the Texas market includes knowledge of specialized regions such as Midland/Odessa, Lake Jackson and the Valley, in addition to major metropolitans like Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio and Houston.
Ms. Nguyen also worked at GE Capital and Washington Mutual (now JP Morgan Chase), where she underwrote CMBS loans, with emphasis on self-storage and manufactured housing communities. She oversaw Fannie Mae commercial assets throughout the U.S and has since sold, underwritten and appraised an extensive amount of MHRV communities. Her invaluable insight and well-rounded background give her a competitive advantage on how value is perceived not only by park-owners, but also by buyers, lenders and appraisers. This allows her to effectively structure deals and to mitigate questions such as how to underwrite taxes, notably for properties in non-disclosure states like Texas. Her combined 17 years of real estate experience also include teaching real estate finance classes at a Texas college, in addition to speaking at several manufactured housing and RV venues, including TACO and TMHA. Her educational background extends to real estate finance degrees both at the graduate and undergraduate levels from Southern Methodist University and the University of Texas at Arlington.
Experienced and self-driven with extensive wealth management experience.
Steve Yank comes to MHRE with a proven track record of exceeding goals for the past 8 consecutive years while working for the largest commercial bank in the U.S. He brings a vast experience and expertise in all financial areas from consumer banking, wealth management, small business lending as well as commercial real estate funding.
